Five 2026 Car Features You Wont Be Able To Live

First off, are you a 35 year old up and coming executive trying to impress everybody or are you a senior citizen grandpa that just wants a good dependable and safe car to take grandma and the grandkids to the mountains in? Your five must haves would probably be a little different. Well I am the latter of the two and I am very fortunate to have all my grandchildren within 20 miles of where I live so they get to go with grandpa and grandma once in a while. The five things I would have to have, have to do with safety, comfort and convenience plus things to entertain the grandkids on long trips. Without a doubt, the most important thing I want is all the latest safety and handling options that make the car safer if something should happen that is out of your control. Things like Blind Spot Detection, Lane Straying Warning, some kind of a system like OnStar that lets people know if you have been in an accident, run flat tires and things of that nature. The new cars have all the latest in seat belts and airbags to keep you safe. A whole lot different than my 1962 409 SS Chevy. Another feature that is a must for a music nut like myself is a top of the line Surround Sound Audio system with many speakers, amps and a sub-woofer for the bass. I am not into the BOOM like the kids but I do like a good full sound. It needs to have Dolby or some kind of a noise reduction system and be MP3 capable. Having blue tooth capability for hands free phone is also a nice feature to have especially with kids and grandkids. You can talk on the phone now without ever taking your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road. My favorite system is the Mark Levinson System in the new Lexus models. Another option or feature that I could not live without is the rear seat entertainment system. You talk about a nerve saver when you have small kids on a fairly long trip, this is it. Most of these systems have a drop down TV screen or monitor with a DVD player, remote control and at least two sets of wireless headphone so the kids can listen to whatever they are watching and you don’t have to hear it over and over again. Some of them even have a plug where you can hook in a game console for the kids that are a little older. You can’t even imagine how much this system makes long trips with young children. I have a seven and a three year old granddaughter and they will set in the backseat and watch DVDs for hours. Sure eliminates a lot of „Are we there yets“. In fact one time we got to where we were going and they wanted to watch the rest of their movie before they got out of the car. We have a 2009 Subaru Tribeca and we love the entertainment system. Another feature that I really like is the dual zone climate control system. It seems like grandma is always cold and grandpa is always too warm so this system lets each of us control the temperature in our part of the vehicle. Some of the fancier vehicles have the same option for the back seat passengers. It sure makes traveling a lot more comfortable for everybody concerned. All Wheel Drive is a must feature on any car I own while I live in the state of Colorado. It sure makes driving on slick roads or in deep snow a lot easier and safer. We never have any problems getting where we need to go in either one of our Subarus. Subaru has one of the best all wheel drive systems on the market today as far as I am concerned. We have it in the Tribeca and on our 2005 Forester and they have never let us down Those are the five features I could not live without. I am sure that other people will have other ideas but I have outgrown all the hotrod and high performance stuff. All I need is good dependable, economical transportation. .
